Robert Lee Morris Conolli Tip Dog Collar Necklace

$4,500.00

Availability: 1 in stock

Dog collars are meant to sit high on the neck, and this one is for a very small 12″ neck. Constructed out of sterling silver the forms used are the tips or endings of the connolly form that I invented in 1974. The knuckle ring is another one of these connolly forms, after the sweet Italian pastry, but this necklace is composed of individually hand soldered pieces. A wide leather band connects the units into a tight fitting dog collar. Very rare, one of a kind and collectible. It was purchased and worn by Joan Sonnabend herself, the owner and founder of the famous Sculpture to Wear Gallery in NYC. She traded it back to me a few years ago, before she passed away.
