Created in 1981 for the Calvin Klein fall show, this sterling silver piece was made by taking warm sheet wax and taking an impression of a Japanese flower basket. This technique was experimental, and has nothing to do with silver smithing or forging or any other classical method of  jewelry construction. This cuff joins a family of similar pieces I call Wax Impressions.
