This Robert Lee Morris Speckled  Egg Necklace, is part of the Egg series which preceded the Pebble collection in the mid 1980’s. It is a one of a kind piece. Moving away from the architectural direction in the early 1980’s, Morris pursued the Egg form. Here is a spectacular necklace that packs a visual punch! The eggs were hollow castings from wax carvings, joined with a rivet system underneath. The most unusual and permanent patina is a speckled brownish gold color. As usual, this design was bold and powerful while also being classic and forever modern. The warm brass and worn look qualifies this for the Wabi Sabi category and the length of this necklace is gloriously dramatic.
