When I was launching my leather-goods collection in the late 80’s, of handbags, belts and dog collars, I also created a new collection of jewelry. This was the new Pro Earth Green movement in the early 1990’s whereby the themes were all about flowers and vegetation. I created wax carvings of every kind of nature I could conjure up. trees, branches, roots, leaves and buds. These vines and organic living imagery became part of my new leather-good’s line. Jewelry was what directed the hardware, and this necklace is a major part of the Green look I did then. Bold. Powerful, Rare, and still comfortable around the neck. Gold plated brass 1989.
