Robert lee Morris Gold Plated Bubble Bangle 1977

In 1978 I was making a series of very full blown shapes for my jewelry like this bangle. Using a sandbag and forging the metal to an extreme limit, I made these iconic looking pieces of jewelry. Fashion editors went wild for these pieces, and stacked armloads of them for their magazine pages. This is the only one of the one of a kind bubble bangles left in my archives, a major collectors item.
