Robert Lee Morris Brass Sculpture #101 Tall Skinny Tower Stack

Robert Lee Morris Brass Sculpture #101, Tall Skinny Tower Stack is a simple but arrestingly strong artwork for the home. The “Stack” name applies to all the sculptures that Morris makes whereby metal discs are threaded onto a metal pole, separated by various lengths of brass tubing. The effect is a bit similar to a strand of Eucalyptus plant, where round leaves are spaced along a vine. This piece is part of a series of small sculptures meant to be shown alone or in groupings with similar stacks as seen in the gallery photos. The color accident of white tubings add a new feature to the contemporary sculpture work that Morris is currently making. In some cases he uses a red/orange color accent to offset the brass. Sitting in a cube of clear lucite, the tower is 18″ tall and each dis  measures 2″ diameter.
