Robert Lee Morris Brass Sculpture # 106, Tall Twisted Oval Stack, is a tall (over 36″ tall), that is constructed of graduated sizes of curved oval plates of forged brass that are threaded on a steel pole that sits in a lucite cube base. The 20 “leaves” are separated by short lengths of brass tubing and they are able to be arranged by hand into a flowing turning twist design. This is a strong visual of iconic Robert Lee Morris style, organic and fluid. the addition of a tall vermillion tube at the top is like a light beacon or accent of vibrant color adding to the depth of the idea behind the work. Like an exotic plant this sculpture is a work of art for the home.
