Robert Lee Morris Peruvian Eagle Necklace

This very rare Robert Lee Morris Peruvian Eagle Necklace was created after Morris came back from an archeological dig in the Andes Mountains of Peru in the late 1980s. The carved bird pendant was fashioned after stone works in a cluster of burial chambers on the side of a steep cliff in the cloud forest. The disc from which it hangs is covered with a pattern form ancient Mezo American designs. The orange glass beads are from Africa and the dark orange bed is an amber copal bead also an African trading bead. This is a one of kind necklace and reveals Morris’ love of the Wabi Sabi look; old, worn, antique looking.
