Robert Lee Morris Silver Segmented Collar Necklace

This Robert Lee Morris Silver Segmented Collar is vintage, 1982, and is a great example of the clean bold and iconic style of his work during this period of experimentation and discovery. With a simple hook clasp, this piece is very basic construction, with large jump-rings connecting the individual sections of the collar. Created right after the 1981 collaboration with Calvin Klein, whereby large hammered crescent sheet metal collars were prominently worn in the runway show. This is one of those collar designs that was cutup, deconstructed and put back together as a fluid piece.
