Robert Lee Morris Small Oxidized Brass Dart Necklace

The Robert Lee Morris Small Oxidized Brass Dart Necklace is a dramatic vintage piece from the early 1980’s. The design is based on the feathers of a throwing dart. This is an architectural form that is four sides tapered to a point and Morris found that it was a building block for an entire new collection. The darts could be linked together with riveted pins that allowed for a flexible chain to be built. The fact that the four sides were flat and polished created a sparkle effect that turned this group into a successful diamond like appearance. In all the various sizes and materials, the Dart collection became very popular as earrings, bracelets and short to long necklaces. This piece is a n oxidized brass with burnished edges and glows with a warmth.
