Eric Rhein exhibited his fantasy jewelry in the mid 1980’s at Artwear. Like nothing I had ever seen in all my travels, I loved how “out there ” it was, akin to ancient Japanese doll making arts, magical in every way. This charming brooch is a throwback to Victorian England or some dream-like era, a heart hanging from a ribbon, with a bulldog in the center.
