TED MUEHLING FAN

$4,500.00

In 1976, Ted Muehling was coming out of Pratt Institute of Art, and collaborating with a young dress designer named Julio Espada. The jewelry that Ted made for the runway was so important and ground breaking that he won the Coty Award. At 23. This acrylic fan was used in the show, and had a long bit of thread attached to the kernel of the fan. I brought Ted into Artwear as soon as I found him., and he became part of the structure of the success of the gallery. This beautiful shape, of a mussel shell, is hand made out of florescent orange acrylic. Very Rare.
