Sterling silver, with onyx cabochons, this is a magnificent piece of classic military genre jewelry. A classic eagle surrounded by bold Germanic writing, flanked by two sharpened horizontal stilettos. This is powerful with strong imagery, challenging to wear. Laurence was exploring this formalistic genre of symbols and rich masculine materials which I loved to exhibit at Artwear. Loving his work led me to acquiring this collection of his brooches.
