ROBERT EBENDORF CRUCIFIX AND CLAW

One of the most notable names in American Craft and Art jewelry is Robert Ebendorf. He has a global reputation of being a major innovator and leader in the academic art jewelry realms.This is just one of his many provocative works, that I purchased from a group exhibition at Artwear in the early 1990’s when the themes of crosses was rampant in the fashion world. Created with found and natural materials, a birds claw, pearls, an amethyst, silver and worm-eaten wood. It is a mysterious and narrative piece from one of the legends.
