These Robert Lee Morris Oxidized Brass Machined Earrings were first conceived in 1979, as bold runway jewelry. Working with oxidized brass to create warm colors, an inventive approach to re-interpreting fashion, Morris showed off his love for large-scale bold jewelry that was more sculpture than jewels. The design was all about pierced sheets, different patterns that were cut out of brass sheets and then forged into a curved shape. This one with the square holes around the edges was a nod toward industrial design. These are clips, using nickel clipbacks that maintain their spring forever.
